Jessica Morris

Yoga has been part of Jessica's life for over 18 years. As a young person she trained in Ashtanga Yoga, to keep herself fit and healthy. After 12 years of practice she travelled to India to learn about Yoga at its source. She worked with inspiring teachers all over the country before qualifying as a Hatha Yoga teacher in Mysore.

Jessica trained in exercise for older people during the pandemic, practising with her mother, who has mobility issues herself. She believes in lifelong learning, and our ability to help ourselves. She understands the changes we go through as the body matures and is careful to work with her students safely.

"Jessica is a dedicated and approachable teacher who takes the time to really see her students. She understands the importance of alignment and offers great adjustments and guidance in her classes."

Dance and music have been a part of my life for over 20 years. As a young girl I tried many dance styles including street dance and contemporary. I also studied performing arts and participated in the Leeds Carnival dancing in the troops.

I love the fusion of dance and fitness that is Zumba. I completed my training in 2018 and I now teach in various locations throughout Leeds.

My passion for zumba is not just about teaching dance fitness, it’s about building a strong sense of community for women. I have worked with many women from a range of backgrounds and ages. I love to see the confidence build within the women I teach and have a great workout which is fun and inclusive to all levels of fitness and dance abilities. As a teacher i understand the importance of working with my students to make them feel comfortable and happy and work at their pace. Through positive thinking and movement we learn together.
Love and light Melissa ❤️
